Pauline Weichler, OD

  • One of my greatest  satisfactions is when patients are happy with how well they see with their new eyewear or contacts, and how well their eyes feel after being treated. I also enjoy helping pick out frames.
  •  I grew up in South Dakota, graduating from the University of South Dakota, and then receiving my doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Between getting the two degrees I taught middle school science and math. I gained ten years of experience working at a clinic with several ophthalmologists. I have more respect for business owners after starting Eye Works, Inc., in 2002.  In 2019 we relocated to the freshly remodeled Freed's space at 3645 Sturgis Road Suite 500 and changed the name to Ideal Eyes.  
  •  After hours, my pug, Turbo, and Australian Shepherd, Rosie, keep me company.  (The photo shows some of my past pugs also. One of  pugs in the picture is in the pouch!)  You may get to meet them in the office.  I enjoy nature and crafts. I also have an interest in "energy medicine" which uses stretching, acupressure points, etc. to improve health.  

   Ideal Eyes Staff

Lana has been an optician for several years, and after being at Ideal Eyes, she says we have the nicest patients compared to other places she has worked.  (I agree!)  She also likes dogs, crafts, and home and garden projects.

​Facilities

We are located in the recently remodeled mall that used to be Freed's Furnishings on Sturgis Road.  It's easy access and parking right off the road.  Inside is an open floor plan with a children's activity area, space for frames, special testing room, secure records room, and contact lens care desk.
Our facilities are handicap accessible.  ​
